Surrealist ephemera, ca.1921-1969.

The collection includes two printed pamphlets of poems by Georges Hugnet with illustrations by Picasso and Miró, exhibition brochures with evocative reproductions, and parodic announcements of cultural events, such as a series of lectures on sexual practice, and a price list for Magritte paintings to be painted on demand. There is also a handwritten musical score by E.L.T. Mesens for a Jean Cocteau poem titled "Ouest," four photographs of the Parisian preview of Pablo Picasso's play Desire caught by the tail (1969); and a copy of Secsa: petite poétique de la pathomie de directoire (1956) by Théodore Koenig, annotated and signed by the author.
